I thought it was agreed upon that we would be more sensitive toward teams and players on this site. I'm feeling a little down right now, on the edge of tears, with a sleepless night ahead.

Y'all know how sensitive I can be. cry

Or......maybe it's because I lost a filling tonight and my mouth hurts like hill. I'll bet Joba has a little of that hootch left over to numb my gum

In the interest of the community, I am declaring a public truce with all things Yankee. I'll no longer chronicle Arod kissing himself in the mirror, or his whispered sweet nothings into every gossip columnists ear. I'll post no more Yankee mugshots or any pending trial transcripts. I'll no longer post a running list of top 10 Yankee busts of all time. It's in poor taste anyway.

In my moments of weakness late at night, in the dark I might be tempted to watch the Yankee postgame show to revel with glee in the hand wringing of players, management and pressed suited former Yankee greats after a particularly crucial 11th inning loss (to my beloved Red Sox), but I'll do my best to keep those demons at bay, or private, behind closed doors and drawn shades at least.

I honestly think rz2 is going to be playing on TV sooner than later, so I just need to let it go so I can transition into becoming a....gulp....Yankee fan?!?!. It will take time, but I'll get there. Hope the tooth feels better soon.

I think is it all about "too much, too soon" for these kids

That's because there was always somebody spoiling these kids rotten growing up starting from mommy and daddy, their little league coaches all the way on through.

Then you got a kid like Rick Porcello who's only 20, only a year and change from pitching high school ball and they say "mature beyond his years". Now I don't think any 19-20 yr old is mature beyond their years but there are some kids who get it because they got it growing up.
