Bud is concerned? Puhlllease...get your head out of the sand, stop letting the player's association run or ruin baseball and do something about it. Bonds is probably the poster boy for steriods. Do I think it helped him hit 700 homeruns, absolutely not. It takes talent. But jeez it doesn't take a mental midget to see that growth hormones are out of control in baseball. I don't think it is genetics that makes everyone bigger and stronger. Some yes, all no. They need to do random (and I mean random) sampling, no-notice, just showup and pee in the cup, and if you are caught, then you are suspended. Caught twice, a longer suspension. Three times banned for a year. Four times...see ya! I don't want to say it is the same as a corked bat, or foreign substance on the ball, but it is a form of cheating. Get in the weightroom and do it the right way. Work out. And if you get to be 40 years old and can't do it anymore, step aside and let the younger players have a go. Go into coaching, but don't take steriods in your pursuit of a record for your own self-interests. In the long run, you reputation and health are at risk.

Say what you want about Selig but I've always felt he is a man with integrity and fairness. As much as anyone thinks they can do the job, I don't think anyone could make everyone happy. Seligs experience dealing with, and sticking with a losing product in Milwaukee may have given him the best vision in order to fix some big problems within MLB

Bonds is a great player who has been protected by the "don't chew off the hand that feeds you" mentality. I hope these are just allegations, I'd hate to see great accomplishments tainted.
Pictures worth 1000 words. Make your own conclusions.

Young adult

1989

1990

May 1992. Ripped. Obviously been lifting.

Sep 1997. Probably fully mature, physically. (Just my assessment)

April 2000. Artificially enhanced?

yesterday & today.

With Bonds, photos are just circumstantial evidence. But his growth, strength, and the change in his head size/shape makes me question the 'wholesomeness' his nutritional program.

everyone acts like those types of gains arent possible without illegal supplements!!! there are alot in the weight lifting, powerlifting ,natural bodybuilding (yes there is such a thing) circles that would dispute that. there are many supplements available that arent illegal. not saying he's clean but just dont think you can say guilty by pictures is all! do the same with pics of mcguire. androsine was not an illegal substance, but was performance enhancing!

Ripkinfan would have a point if someone did the training year round. But in baseball this mass increase would have to happen between Nov and early March. The only legit excuse he has would be if he "matured later than most the boys his age". The more denial he makes only adds to the tarnish of his reputation. I think underneth the fame Barry is a stand-up guy. The best thing he could do now is head an anti-roid campaign to youth.
ok what i'm about to say i dont want taken racially!!! i am white and have 2 relatives who are black. one who i treat as if he was my brother. we used to lift weights together and his max would go up 2-3 times as fast as mine and he would put on muscle mass 4 times as fast as me. i know there's body type issues and everything but when his bench went from 250 to 450 in 6 mounths and his arms went from 16 in to 20 in in 6 mounths, there's a shadow of a doubt that it is possible for barry! likely for all black people? i dont think so like for any race i dont think so! but it's possible!
Your hat/skull size doesn't change (as an adult) because of your race, how much you lift etc. It does change size and increase as a result of the use of steroids and related medications.
It is reported and I believe confirmed that Bonds' hat size increased over the past few years and the photos, IMO, show his head is larger (literally and figuratively Wink.)

All this and his associations with Balco and increased performance at an age contrary to thousands before him, well........ noidea

What I see here is the hypocrisy behind the real meaning of what people in baseball actually believe.

If Bonds strived for perfection in his game and really achieved some semplance of it...no one will believe that he didn't cheat!

This website is viewed by young baseball players. The only thing I ever see here is you guys tearing down the icons of the game.

Tell me, what reason does a young player have to try to do his best, try to achieve perfection in his game, when at the end of his endeavor, he can expect to be accused of cheating and be treated like he is a drug addict by all the adults?

This website is more about finding someones throat to cut, spreading rumors, and dealing in gossip....it is pure unadulterated ugliness.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

TR- as I mentioned above and I believe it to be correct, your hat/skull size doesn't "normally" change in your adult years absent certain factors such as steroid use. The rest of the body changes he's had noidea

The pictures show that "head" change in Bonds, IMO; and, besides reading it, I've also recieved certain info from several people involved in ML baseball who I view as credible sources, that has confirmed this, at least for my humble opinion.

I will admit though that I have a certain bias in that having met Barry Bonds on several occaisons it is not hard for me to think the worst of him.
