Aside from Wood being on a roll today, I hate that I read this thread. This year, Senior Night will be very tough. We have seven seniors that are all outstanding young men that I have become very close to, not to mention that one is my youngest kid. There is a good chance that the game will determine league champs, which our team hasn't done since moving up to a bigger league several years ago. These young men have been at the heart of a complete program turn-around. Also, it may also be my last go-around as a changing work situation will likely curtail my coaching days. So, I personally feel like I lose all 16 of them.
The whole thing started two nights ago when I went to my son's basketball banquet. The things the coaches said to me and to the group about him had little to do with his playing skills but I could not have been more proud. Then, last night, I came home from practice and read this thread and the nearness of the end of the HS journey for the last of my own kids hit me hard. Tie that in with the departure of the other seniors and the end of the opportunity to work with and influence these young men... it will be very hard. Forget the tissue box, I'll need a couple of towels.

"Forget the tissue box, I'll need a couple of towels."

I taught this contraption everything it knows cabbagedad. I have no idea how it figured out how to fold so much more quickly than me. That's just plain eerie! I hope it's sufficient for you. I can round up a few of its cousins if need be.

"Didja' see that gizmo folding up a storm?"....."It's impressive all right. You oughta' see the omelette it can whip up!"
