Ya! and the winner of that can play the UDC team then the winner of that game can play P. Gravel...And when you figure out who the best is of that bunch of teams... Call the IL.Express Team, I'm sure they will find some time to play.
We would like to play all of the teams mentioned in tournament play, like people were saying earlier, because they are the quality programs in Illinois. But we especially would like to play Norwood in a multigame series to test both their "depth" and "40-0 record." Many feel Top Tier and Norwood have the most complete teams in Illinois and this can settle whose best. Would play at a neutral site with a good field. And as for when, put up some possible dates and i'm sure it can be arranged. Top Teir already has guys ranked by Baseball America in Illinois like Flores #1, Dunigan #2, Zegarac #6, Ely #7, Perinar #8, Bennett #16...with still more on the way. If there's another team in Ill. that can match that I'd be suprised. Take it or leave it.
Guys, listen, there are a ton of quality summer programs in Illinois. Norwood, Top Tier, whatever. The thing is, you guys are really pathetic, argueing all the time over who is better. The most important thing is that you have fun and play some good baseball. Each team will have players playing D-1. And I bet that if u played a seven game series, there would be no winner. Someone would still argue that their team is better. Baseball is the greatest game ever played, and I am sick of reading about who is better than who. Play the game, and may the best man win.
I only saw the Norwood team in the fall of 2002 before they played the high school season and then the summer of 2003. Nice team.
I saw Top Tier in a couple of games at UIC versus the Blazers and a team from St. Louis/thereabouts. It wasn't pretty. And the grass wasn't long and the field wasn't wet.
norwood and the blazers can play with anyone.2 deep and talented teams.the difference is WHO they play. Blazers take on all comers and the Blues need to upgrade their level of competition.
The Great thing about it is. We may not be in great weather states for baseball, but we sure have a lot of great players and excellent teams in the Midwest!
