He pitches in the NCIC and is a good young pitcher. He sure did not pitch in the 90's when he pitched against Streator and got out dualed by Brooks Martin from Streator when the NCIC title was on the line. He has pretty decent control and I have seen him pitch a number of times and he did not impress me that much with his ability to over power the hitter. I would take Martin before him and Martin is only one year older.

During the Fall we are adding and dropping due mainly to the fact that the 06 guys are on recruiting trips part of the time. We have a Fall program,(90 kids) but we have some trips we do with premier baseball. We will send a split group of 07 and 06 down to u of Mizzu for 2 Sat and 2 Sun of next week.(16 or 17kids)Gets the 07s an early look by some schools and gets the border line late 06 guys some late looks. Our core stays the same for the most part, this week we will go with most 06s and a few 07s. We have been to Bradley, St Joes, will go to Mizzu, GMC, and Mich State University this Fall with a end of Oct deal out in Peoria Az at the Padres complex with the premier group. In between those and every week we will be having our league go local, that is more for the kids to work on weaknesses as oppossed to just playing Tourny setting all the time.(and the almighty Showcases) Its almost set up like a instructional league followed by a game Sat and the exact same on Sun. Infield this weekend will most likly look like Fratto(OPRF 3rd,) Mcgee ss,(Mt Carmel) Andy Leaonard (2nd Stagg)
Pat Grady (1st Sandburg) Giller- (C St Pats)with Sexton coming from Oak lawn to get some time. The nice thing about it is if you need a weekend off because of whatever the reason , we have the flexability to take care of it without weakening to much. The best thing about these teams down there are they are long established programs with all D1 players. Its what our guys need to playing agaist if they have any intentions of playing at the next level.
The kids are responsible for their rooms and travel. Asked for $30 a kid to hedge the cost of the tourny. Not in this gig to make a $, more important to me is getting them some good competition, in front of some schools and maybe , just maybe, teach them along the way.
I leave the $ for all the guys who enjoy the lessons. I enjoy the game setting too much to get away from it. This Summer a good friend of mine has offered to sponser the club and that should take the $ out of the equation. Same guy doing the Fall League. It is great for the kids, and it gives the old coach a little fix too.
