My son has been invited to make a visit. Anyone have any information on this school, baseball program, coaching staff?

It's DII, has a nice facility but the perception is that the Head Coach does not get out and beat the bushes so to speak on recruiting, somewhat takes the easy road since they have money. I really believe they could be real legit only if they pursued recruiting more aggressively.

Recently had a camp there. Nice facilities. Good coaching, knew what they were talking about. Nice campus too.
Memorex-what do you mean that Shepherd has money?
My son and I visited there a few years back. I'll never forget looking at the field in person. Looked great on line but did not realize centerfield rose in elevation 5 to 10+/- feet.

If fully funded, D2's are allowed 9 scholarships.
The key word being "if". As of 2-3 years ago, when what I was told by a player was current, Shepherd was definitely less than fully funded, as is true of many programs. No idea about the present.
Back when my guys were in high school, I obtained a book which listed, as to baseball, all of the colleges playing, at all levels,, coaches names, addresses, etc. It also told how many scholarships were offered and many schools were less than fully funded. Time has deleted the name of the book from my memory, but surely somebody on this site will remember, and there's probably a current version available.
