Thanks for the information on my last post but I think it would help more if you knew more about me. I have been playing baseball for only about 2 years and the first year I batted right and the second I have been batting left a lot. I have blazing speed which led me to bat left handed.(more infield hits, easier to drag bunt) I have much more power from the right side but I think I have a little better contact from the left. I feel comfortable batting both ways in games but as I progress I am wondering if it is worth it to be a switch hitter. I probably am better overall from the right side and I can hit a curve ball off a right handed pitcher to the oppostite field for some power. I am just wondering if it is worth the extra time I could be using to help the rest of my game as well as if it helps being recognized by pro scouts. I read somewhere that switch hitting only became popular because hitters in the early 1900's were dead pull hitters and wanted to be able to pull a pitch breaking away from them. I know this is pretty long but if you take the time to read and answer I will be extremely grateful.
