Thinking of doing it in December since I'll probably be near full form and haven't showcased yet (I'm a 2017). Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with this showcase or Showball in general that can help me decide?

I saw that showcase and its quite an impressive list of schools. I do not have experience with that showcase but my recommendation to you, if you go, is to make sure to reach out to some of the coaches that you are most interested in before you go so that they are specifically keeping an eye out for you. Best of luck if you go!
2016 NTGson attended Showball Showcase on Long Island in July.Extremely well-run and definitely worth the time, effort and expense. Not only was he seen by schools with which he had already had contact (and came away with offers) but also generated a large amount of interest from schools not on his radar.Have a copy of your transcript and your SAT/ACT scores as these are high academic schools in most instances. NTGson signed with his number 1 choice this past week.

NYCT: Become to the site. The Showball MegaCamp was probably the best and most worthwhile showcase experience in my son's(2015) recruiting journey; the only other one I would say was as/more instrumental was a skills camp son attended at school he eventually signed with.
At the Megacamp you truly get bang for your buck. Son went during December of his sophomore year and again December of his junior year. Expect about 225 campers at the venue (maybe more now). 75 coaches attended in 1st year and 100 his second year. Players get uniform colors, some of which you didn't know were in the rainbow. And for the moms and dads in attendance watching game there are prizes for trivia questions at the main field.
I echo what NotThatGuys says..showcases are really well run. Coaches are very accessible too. One coach (who you don't know until the end) will collect all info (60 time, MPH, critiques on throwing, hitting, etc) and meet with player at the conclusion of the camp. A number of the high academic schools and big programs are there. Did not feel as overwhelmed at this showcase than Headfirst. Definitely send out communications to schools of interest prior. PM me if you have additional questions. We are in New England (see you are in NY). Believe me it was a nice father-son trip to Ft. Myers and leaving the snow behind.
