So we started playing "showcases" last weekend.  They are 3-4 games and no results have been posted (which means we know how our guys did, but not really anyone else)

We're not complaining, we just don't completely understand.

So besides just playing, what's the point of a showcase vs a tournament?

Once you transition from youth ball to summer ball to high schoolers the priorities change for most. Winning takes a back seat to development and exposure to scouts and college coaches.

If your son desires to play after high school you need to ensure he plays for a team that gets you to college campuses of varying levels so the right eyeballs see your son play.

The final scores of most of these games matter very little to anyone. Except for one tournament our coach told me it will be all about get the boys seen.
