VA Sportsmom,
I appreciate and understand your position, and somewhat agree, especially if I was attempting to market sport equipment.

The focus here is helping kids get into college, and a question I get every time, and support, is, "what schools are going to be there?"

The disappointment on my part is what I have had to do for the last 3 years, turn kids away. I don't like doing that.

I must admit I am excited I get so may schools at a showcase only costing $125 and offering it free to the catchers.

I know some of my excitement is showing through, and for that I can understand your point.

As you may know, the Pitching/Catching Showcase is right before the early signing period. Immediately after the early signing period, all Juniors become Rising Seniors for all intent and purposes.

So to answer your question for the Pitching/Catching Showcase I would say High School Juniors/Seniors as well JUCO Freshman and Sophomores.

In fact, because so many colleges have already received verbal comittments, they are hoping 2007 are going to be there.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call at (410) 721-4203.

Snowball,
I usually have 18 06 catchers to ensure they are well rested and I have each one of them take BP and the PP Time in front of the college coaches.

In addition, as with all the pitchers present, I will gladly forward how they do to any college not present.

I certainly would love to see you and your son attend. Please register and reference him as a catcher.

Also note we have Kevin Schnall on 16-17 December.

Thanks

I attended MVP's Pitcher/Catcher showcse last year when I was coaching at a MD JUCO. I have to say there was a ton of talent there and it was great for us as college coaches to see it in a organized and one day timeframe. I came away with plenty of pitchers to follow up with as well as several catchers who caught my eye. For the price of this event its a great chance to showcase in front of 35+ college coaches.
College Coaches Update:
We expect to have 35 -50 college coaches with Richmond, William and Mary, Liberty, VCU, Lander, Lenoir Rhyne, Chowan, Pitt CC, Blue Ridge CC, NC Wesleyan, Bethany, Villa Julie, Gwynedd-Mercy, Presbyterian, McDaniel, Shenandoah, Kings College, Catonsville CC, St. Marys, Colombia Union College, Mars Hill, Carson Newman, ….just to name of few who have already committed.

Register on-line at http://www.mostvaluableplayer.biz

The bottom line the showcase will be good for both Pitchers and Catchers.

Thanks
