What should a player wear to an indoor showcase - Pants or shorts? I’m thinking pants, nice tucked in shirt, and hat. Looking like a ball player. What do other kids wear?

And wear the hat/shirt of either your HS team or your travel team, NOT a college/university hat!!
(You never know who you might tick off with that college logo!)
Also it was suggested to me, wear a baseball uniform shirt that has your name on the back if you have one.

to avert all the confusion we put the players in different colored sirts, numbered which correlates to the printed program----we also have the stadium announcer doing his thing during the entire event
Baseball pants, not shorts, for sure. I encouraged our players to wear a distinctive hat so they stuck out. Several attended a HS with a red hat so it was an easy sell.
If you're considering attending a showcase in shorts....maybe you're not ready for a showcase...lol. Ok, just kidding, but that really seems like an odd question. As a coach, I'd look at a kid in shorts kinda like the kid who shows up for a travel team tryout in jeans.. 
The distinctive hat and a shirt with your name on it are also good ideas. It's much, much easier for a coach to remember you if you've got your name on your back. Also, if it's a 2-day event and you do well the first day....wear the same stuff the next day...even if you have to wash it overnight. If you stink it up the first day...wear a different jersey...but make sure you still have your name on the back if possible...if a coach liked you...even a little bit, he'll look for you on the second day.

My son attended an on campus camp where the current college players who were assisting with the camp were in clean baseball pants, shirts tucked in, the whole shebang. Told me something about how the coach runs his program. You wouldn't want to be the one kid in shorts.
So I shouldn't have my son wear my old game jersey when he goes to the showcase at the JUCO I played for?....LOL...it does have our lat name on it! LMAO
