I'll add this to the mix. How important, if at all, is that on-campus "prospect camp" for one who really wants a shot at a particular school? The coaches generally go a great job, but I have seen some kids older than mine do really well at those camps and never hear from that school again. All other things being equal, is there any correlation between attending a school's prospect camp and actually garnering any interest?
If the scouts are any good at all, why wouldn't they pick up on the bad habits at the first showcase? I just have trouble buying into that one, even though it has been repeated elsewhere.
IN MY OPINION i think that if the only scouts that attend the showcase are from that particular school and your kid doesnt have an interest in that school that it could be a waste because if that kid is good they wont pick up the phone and call ,lets say texas, and be like i have a kid here who is awesome and he wants to come to your school.
