There are a fixed number of college roster spots ---- That number is the number of colleges w/baseball teams multiplied by the number of players on each team. If we go on the premise that showcasing helps a player get a roster spot --- and since the number of spots remain the same, one would assume that someone is left standing in this recruiting game of “musical benches”? I don't think so. Your thoughts?

Yes some will be left out, but what showcases do provide is the ability for someone to be evaluated by some school or pro scout that may not have a chance to find the player and the player and school/pro scout gets to evaluate him against what he sees at the showcase, as well as, what other player he has seen vs a school/pro scout not knowing about a player who may have talent and could help his team, but is not known to them, who has a roster spot for them in the future.

I see some vary talented players only looking in a small geographic area, but if they are willing to go out of state, there are many opportunities to find a roster spot that could use his skills.
