For those who don’t know I am a 2021 OF. I am looking for input on what to do for the winter. Currently my measurables are 87 tee exit velo and 80 from the outfield. I run a 4.2-4.4 down the line. At this stage, would it be more beneficial for me to go to a showcase like a PBR or PG or school camps?

Good question.  We are in a similiar situation and going to try and do Fall Showcase and then Summer Camps(College Specific where numerous other college's are attending), HF, Showball Academic and then some local Impact Sports camps.  Still doing HS baseball in the Spring of course.  Seems to be effective and allow us to target the schools that match his skills and academics.  Good Luck to you....sounds like you have some solid skills!

There are other threads on this topic where you can get a lot of useful information if this doesn't grow.  In short, I would say both.  Doing PG or PBR is probably a must have at some point.  Your measurables are good, so not too early to get a profile.  PBR is much more cost effective than PG, and my son never did PG.

I'm a fan of camps, other parents/players not so much, so it will serve you to get both perspectives.

We did an inexpensive showcase through a nearby high school program when my 2018 was a freshman just to get an original set of measurables. When we shared those, we got enough interest to make it worth the investment to keep going. The rest of high school we sent him to two showcases a year, usually PBR — one at the beginning of the season, another at the end to track growth, and then did camps at schools that son was interested in. We never did do a Perfect Game showcase, but son played in the tournaments and they were a good experience.

You are off to a great start not just with the numbers but also thinking about the near future.  I couldn't tell by your post but I am going to assume this will be your first (or first few) showcases/camps attended.  Also not knowing your parents financial situation this may not be easily achieved.  For the first few camps/showcases I would recommend staying local, on the low budget end, "less" recognition types.  My reasoning is as follows. There can be a tremendous amount of pressure put on you to excel, knowing big college scouts will be there.  Realistically you will have a short period of time to show your skills in front of them.  Use the less known camps to get accustomed to the format, what will be required, how you measure up to others, proper way to act, etc.  If you mess up the first time learn from that experience.  It's better to happen with a smaller recognized camp instead of a major one.  After a couple of these you can move onto more important ones, and the uncertainty, anxiety, pressure, newness will all be in the past so you can relax a bit and do your thing.   Good luck.

Now that you are a 2021, you have ample time to showcase, but you need to improve your bb metrics and the best way is to get stronger and faster. What is YOUR plan to get stronger and faster? Fall imo is the slowest part of the academic year, you should take advantage of this extra time to focus on your S&C. The gains will become obvious in just 2 months.

Great metrics on WL. Are you working with a SC coach on developing strength and power on the all the other planes or relying on football? How is the 3x week conditioning being assessed esp with a rigorous sport as football? Who is actually doing your programming? What is the program in the late fall when FB season is over?
