Jeremy Holzbach sent the Kat fans home singing, as they slipped past #3-ranked Rice, 9-8. Brandon Alford picked up the win, in relief.

Are baseball results really "stunning"?

I say no -- especially with the competitive balance in Texas. If SHSU were to sweep Rice in a 3-game series, I might be temporarily stunned -- but the fact that each game is different makes baseball special.

does it really matter who the Kats beat as long as they win. The program is on the upswing and a win such as that no matter how insignificant it may seem is a confidence boost.
