Congratulations to Ron Cass and the Kenosha Indians in winning the Volunteer Classic tournament at SIU this weekend. Indians pitchers were stingy, giving up one run through 29 innings of play and posting wins of 6-0, 5-0, 2-0 and 3-1. Timely hitting and great defense helped seal the victories. Great job!

I have never seen a team pitching staff do what the Kenosha Indians almost pulled off at the Volunteer Invitational....They almost shut out all of their 4 opponents.... gave up the 1 run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th

A very classy organized well schooled team with alot of hustle and desire....Very well coached team....
Overall champions as a result of their won-loss record

congrats to a very very very CLASSY ORGANIZATION!!!!
WISH THERE WERE MORE LIKE THEM
Baseball,

Thanks. Sean had a great tourny, grabbing one of those wins and going 6 for 11 at the plate. A great group of kids and masterfully coached. Still gets the "rookie" ribbing though, for being the only '09. And I've never seen so many left-handed pitchers on one squad. All four games had southpaws on the bump. How is Gage's hand coming along? Has he had the pins removed yet?
