I have lots of questions on this topic as we navigate the waters of HS baseball.
My son is a JV player, going to be in 10th grade. Is it a good time to create a first skills video for him with the anticipation that more will be created as he gets older to watch his progression?
Is it worth it to use one of the companies that advertise help with these videos and say that they will help you get the videos out there and promise distribution? Or is like most things and we'd do much better (and cheaper) on our own?
Is it true that coaches prefer to see actual skills and reps rather than game highlight footage? Should there be a mix of both?
What are some does and dont's for skills videos? Music or not? Professionally shot or amateur?
And finally, where do you send them/post them for exposure?
More specifically, what do coaches want to see from catchers in the videos?
Wow, it's like 20 questions, isn't it?
