Okay I was told by someone that(maybe Mickey Mantle) put a broken pencil in his back pocket to get out of a slump. Anyway I relayed this to my son and wants to know do you put both parts of the broken pencil in your pocket. lol

I've googled and can't find where anyone has done this. Anybody know?

What other superstitions have you heard of? And yes I know this is just foolishness but hey maybe it will work.

3-7 in the DH with a game-tying RBI in the bottom of the 9th in game two. I think it might have worked for the young man.
