Thanks,

To be perfectly honest I wasn't going to put it on here until he gets that OFFICIAL letter of acceptance. (superstitious I guessSmile) You can never be too sure, although they have assured us he has the grades and test scores. On the same day he was also one of three students at his school to be nominated for a very prestigioud leadership position, so I have to believe they will write him good letters of recommendation. Joey committted to Stanford this past Tuesday. We are ecstatic that he will have the opportunity to earn an education and play ball at such an academic/baseball powerhouse. It is humbling.

Thank you so much!

PS-- They complete their official application mid May, and are notified of acceptance sometime in June. That's when I'll post a real excited response.
smalltownmom,
Yesterday, we received our season tickets for the 2012 season at Sunken.
This morning I read someone's post on the Stanford baseball message board about the commitment.
This afternoon I see it from a very official source on the HSBBW.
Congratulations.
Wonderful news indeed.
I am even more excited knowing we will be watching your son at Sunken in the not too distant future!
Thanks everyone so much for all the kind words. It's especially nice that some of you are nearby. Hoping someday to meet some of you. I plan to get a Southwest card so we can start to build up points and hopefully get out at least once a year. In the meantime, we plan to watch some games online. Never really done that before, but we have our subscription for this season. Ready to be part of the Stanford Family!
smalltownmom, CONGRATULATIONS! I think your son will love it there. The coaches are not only great coaches, they are wonderful people. Let's hope the coaches will remain for the time your son is there (not that there's any current reason why they wouldn't, they've been there for a LONG time. . .which is really a good thing IMHO).
