what a feat. when shilling had the nono going the anouncers talked about. this time they didn't mention it. great thing for anyone,but a rookie wow.

I was at the game last night. The crowd was amazing. Pedroia's play at second was terrific. After he made that play everyone started thinking no-hitter.

I never dreamed I'd get to be at a game where a no no was thrown. It was an absolutely awesome experience to see that ballgame. I never had such a good time at a baseball game as I did last night.

Although Epstein has proven to be somewhat inept in the trade/free agent dept., you cannot argue with his record on drafting and developing talent. Not only was Bucholz oustanding, Dustin Pedroia proved yet again that he is the real deal and mortal lock for rookie of the year. 5'8". Gotta love it!

As much as you love to watch the pitcher...I love the plays his fielders have to make behind him.

There might be more pressure on them to not let a hit get through.

Congrats to Clay! Very exciting for any pitcher, but especially a rookie.

Also mentioned in the article is Scott Baker of the Twins. Baker, who started the season in AAA and was not mentioned as a significant factor for the Twins last spring, took a perfect game into the 9th inning. In the 9th he gave up one walk and one hit to settle for a 1-hit complete game shutout.
