Are they both gone? Always well coached teams

Well coached... to bad the Parents are not...
Amen! I agree with both CU and funnel.

I have been fortunate to coach and my son play with and against boys from both schools. I have close personal relationships with parents at the same, and they are a great bunch that have the ultimate respect for the coaches, game and especially the boys.

Its sad that a small few, cast a dark cloud over the whole program.

Agreed, it seems like most of the threads on this site is about bashing coaches, parents and players. Unfortunately some people do not realize how hard it is to get to Round Rock no matter how much talent you have...

He had this lined up before playing Southlake. Good win for you guys but please don't think you had anything to do with the move.

Wow! Obviously you didn't see the icons before and after my joke.

Remove the stick.....lifes to short.
Didn't Tompkins assist at FMHS many years ago?
Who are these people who "like him a lot"?
Aren't they all gone, now?
No more players, parents, coaches, athletic director or head administrator when he was there. Other than teachers, a lot has changed.

My friends at FM say that their coach was positive and encouraging of his players ... trying to help them become honorable men. I don't know if Tompkins is equivalent or completely opposite as a coach.

I hope the coach at my son's school doesn't apply ... he's fantastic!

There are still plenty of people within the district that remember Coach Tompkins and were around when FM opened.

Coach Amrine is a very good man and will be missed.
i would say 2 bad parents out of all the rest are all that flower mound had this year and its the same 2 that have been causing trouble for at least the last few years! the rest of the parents were a great bunch to be around. He did have this job lined up a couple of weeks before the southlake game but wanted to tell his players after the season was over.

Karma is a @#$$! and i hope i'm still around when it bites you in the butt!
I have to agree with jimjones717.
I'm never posted before but I couldn't help myself on this one. It's sad that a few parents are driving away coaches from what could be a wonderful experience for the kids.

It takes years to build a good sports program - regarless of the sport.
When did we forget that these are the memories are kids will have? Are we forgetting that?

If your child was getting a C (or D) in a class at his/her school - would you be asking for the teacher to be "let go", or would you be doing everything in your power to improve their knowledge?

I hope the Flower Mound community will embrace the new coaches and this bashing can stop and we can cheer for the players, coaches and the organizations.
WOW...and I thought our program had problems.

What I saw of Flower Mound this year watching about 8 games was the coaching lacked discipline and allowed certain players to do whatever they wanted to the team. The parents from the games I witnessed were not the problem. I can't fault parents for demanding better coaching at your school or to instill leadership, guidance, and direction for our youth.

It all starts with the head coach, its staff, school administration to put the right coach in place. Allowing certain athletes a longer rope to conduct themselves in the manner at least one of them did this season most likely cost Coach A his job.

From what I have read on these threads, talked to some FMHS parents and administrators, your coach was told 2 months ago he would not be returning as head baseball coach.

FMHS has had some great players, parents, and one GREAT COACH. Since his departure your program went south. I know several coaches with many years of experience that are lining up to interview for this job. Experience is the key to growing a program.

Good Luck FMHS and hope to see you turn it around soon!

PS I hope you smoke Cowboys3 and Coppell next year!
Just curious why they haven't posted the Marcus and FM jobs on the LISD employment website? Have they made a selection already? It's hard for people to apply for a job that isn't posted. Maybe the hiring will be from within and will never be opened up to a larger search?

Out in LF, do you know if Marcus interviews are with candidates "outside" the district or strictly within the district?
