so playoffs start next week and our team has totally dominated all but one game this season. which we made 15 mistakes to lose the game. we're ranked #1 in the state for our class and we've got the great makings for a state title run. last year we had a great shot as well however we didnt quite have the intangibles we do this year, we were laid back and not ready to play at all, and we got upset in the first round.

were a team with great defense, great offense, and 3 above average pitchers

does anyone have advice for going into the playoffs things to think about or not to, do or dont do?
i dont want this year to turn out like last.

Come out ready to play every game. You need to realize that its the playoffs.. every team that made it can win on any day. We play a best of three series where I'm from and the first game we got beat 3-1. Then we had a rainout for the second game so we played a doubleheader the next day. We came out knowing they were a legit team, and knowing that if we played our game then we should win. We won 8-0 and 9-0 that day.

Forget all of the above.....especially everything about "last year".........none of this matters now.....

Focus everything on this........

"we are a team with great defense, great offense, and 3 above average pitchers"

Go out and do what needs to be done today.....wish I had a nickel for every team who "has it all and is expected to win it all"......who ends up going home at the end of the first round, soundly beaten by a less hyped team who worried only about the winning the game they were in currently.....

Cliche'??.........probably....so here is the mother of all cliches....

"One game at a time"........

best of luck....
I look at very simply---if you played well enough all season to make the playoffs why are you even thinking about changing anything you have been doing?

Also keep in mind that in a " one and out format" you don't get to play the next game if you do not win today---in "one and out" there is no tomorrow
