Frank, I'm with you. I guess preseason polls are put out to fill "dead" time between seasons. Just something to peak interest and spur discussion and sell publications.
Take them with a grain of salt, most of these so-called experts are clueless and get their information from reading other "experts".
Along the same lines I get a kick out of the "Wallace Watch", "Clemens Watch", etc. Was watching a game between Baylor and Texas the other night and the announcers were going on and on about a player that was on the Wallace list. His average is .250. What if a kid is hitting .600 but not on the list? Too bad? Or maybe they'll put him ON the list now. Wouldn't it make sense to just "watch" ALL the players???? Another case of clueless.
