Well consider this:
* Last year's 2nd pick in the draft, Greg Reynolds from Stanford, was a late Spring sign in 2003. Greg signed with the Rockies this summer for $3.25M.
* The pitcher with the 5th most innings on the squad last year didn't commit until the Spring of his senior year in HS.
* Stanford's top freshman pitcher in this Fall's practice was a late Spring sign this past year.
These are exceptional young men, and their reasons for committing late are varied (remember the phrase "finding a good fit?").
But if you didn't sign, you're in the majority. Hang in there. Things might be ok...re-work your plan while looking for that "fit."
