say hypothetically this year B4 season i get hurt or dont play this season for personal reasons could i walk on at a jc somewhere. How competetive r the jc's in idaho, montana ,that area and do u know the open tryout walk on policy for jc's in those areas. If i was good enough would the coaches care why i didnt play my senior year? I wont answer why i wouldnt possibly not play this year and please dont go" try some jc's in your area" cuz as far as im concerned the baseball is too competetive.

TrickDaddy,

Montana only has two JC's that play baseball, they are both in the far eastern part of the state. The two are Miles City CC and Dawson CC. I believe Miles city is njcaa div 2, and Dawson is div 3. (The differences in division relates to athletic money available, etc.) Both teams play schools in N Dakota with an occasional game in Utah or Idaho.

The College of Southern Idaho is the only Idaho JC that I am familiar with. They play in a wood bat league. I'm not sure if there are other JCs in Idaho.

I can't really speak to the issue of competitiveness. You might also want to check out NWACC (Washington & Oregon). They are a strong conference, not part of the NJCAA, also a wood bat league. There are quite a few schools in the NWACC that play baseball.
Regardless of your reasons for not playing HS ball, the coaches will want to know why.......

So dont "BS" them......and just so you know....."personal reasons" is not an answer....step up and tell the coaches the real reasons....

If you have the talent and the grades to play, it may not matter to the coach if you didnt play HS ball, but it most definately will matter if you are less than honest with them.......

Best of luck....

I live fairly close to CSI, and well they're one of the best JC in the country. They have a "deal" with some FLorida school, or so I've heard, that players that aren't at their level yet, transfer to CSI and play there for a couple of years, then it's back to Florida. Extremely good program, lots of recruits, tough to walk-on or get recruited. Again, I don't know the exact details, but I believe it's something along those lines
I'll apologize up front if this offends anyone.

Trick, if you want to communicate with adults on this board, communicate like an adult. You will need to do so when you attempt to deal with college coaches.

Do not use text abbreviations. Do use proper punctuation. "B4" and "cuz" are not proper ways to communicate with adults. Save it for texting with your buddies. If you don't communicate properly with a college coach, it will come across as a negative reflection on your intelligence and maturity.

Compare your post with Monstor's and ask yourself which composition would attract a coach's attention?

Good people of the HSBBW,

TrickDaddy last posted a little less than 3 years ago, in August of 2006. It seems likely that his posting privilege was revoked after responding inappropriately to suggestions that he drop the AOL messenger style of writing.

Anyway he should have graduated in 2007, so any advice about JUCOs isn't going to help him now.

This is just an old thread that should be put back to sleep.
