I don't think it gets any more exciting than that. Congratulations to him and to you!
great news! I hope he's able to sneak in a second or two and just enjoy the experience regardless of the outcome. He's doing something that many have wanted to, but precious few will do.
Congratulations! Best of luck to Preston in the Major Leagues.

Too Awesome!!!! Way to go Preston!!!
Thank you for all the support, folks! It has indeed been a special time. Speechless, breathless, tears of joy! Now, that pressure is off & he's on to (more) business of baseball. More growth. more molding, sculpting, adapting, trying to contribute. Most of all, counting the blessings.
I'm so appreciative of the hsbbweb family that has been so helpful & supportive all these years. You folks are GREAT!
May all our boys stay health & play ball!
Sorry I missed this, but a huge congrats to baseballmom and Preston. What a tremendous accomplishment.

I'm headed to KC for the series this weekend. Fingers crossed!
Another shutout inning I saw! Just fantastic!
Baseballmom,
He did it again...2+ shut out innings. 7 innings so far with no runs and no walks!
What a ride. Let's hope it continues.
Please express our Yankee fan gratitude to your son. He is now officially a part of this year's Smoke & Mirrors story. A very likeable team from a fan perspective. I hope they keep it going all year and that he remains a part of it. Either way, he has proven that he is major league material.
I am a big Yankees fan. Last night when I saw Preston Claiborne warming up in the first inning I was just hoping that Hughes would continue getting shelled so I could watch Claiborne pitch. Funny how the score didn't even matter-just cared that Preston had a great outing-and I only know of him from this site.

What the Yankees have done to this point has took the back pages to the Rangers and Knicks but they've quietly put themselves atop of the AL East ¼ way thru. Nobody had the Yanks playing this well with their regulars let alone 2nd and 3rd string subs filling up the starting 9 every night. Good to see some of those young players getting a shot and go out there and get the job done. They may be needed later in the season for the stretch run and all thre game experience how can only help. The Yanks a very old team so any one of these old goats can break down any time,
