Didn't really know what it was going to feel like, but I guess "satisfaction" is the right word after 12 years of hard work and dedication (and a little help from God and his mom's gene pool). VERY generous offer came from a competitive mid-sized D1. However, son's just a Junior...so, obviously it's WAY TOO early to make any commitments (and they understand that too), and it's also out of state, so we've got to work on what's available on the academic side as Junior stands to lose a lot of in-state merit scholly money if he chooses to go there.

They pretty much laid it out there. They feel like they have a good program to offer (they do), and they want their offer to be on the table as junior gets other offers (as they expect him to), and they want him to compare everything else back to them. Looks like we just started down that first big drop on the rollercoaster!

Thanks for all the "learning" that HSBBW has provided and continues to provide.

Congratulations!!! This is a big deal in a young mans life. Enjoy this time. My son also received a verbal offer recently as a junior as well to a D1 program. The one thing his offer did was it reafirmed what I thought about my son for along time. He is a very talented player, but as a Father I am bias of course.

Keep swinging,
Lefty
