They had already cancelled regional and World Series and today they cancelled all American Legion in South Carolina. I heard they left it to each state but there would be no regionals or World Series which is huge. We live 15 minutes from Shelby, NC who spends thousands on the American Legion World Series. It is also a big boost to their community income wise.

To see Legion ball cancelled this summer is sad, but maybe inevitable. Most colleges already have decided summer classes for 2020 will be online-only. Having adults begin to return to work is one thing, because they have to earn a living and the economy has to function at some level. But schools and other activities for kids and very young adults are likely to be more cautious, I would think.
North Carolina Legion also canceled 2020 season last week.
Though I have heard rumors that some of the posts may field unofficial teams and try to play some bootleg games.
Heard that in S.C. also. Speak easy baseball games. That’s interesting.
I'm in NC. (Hadn't heard NC Legion games also were cancelled. Dang. Makes sense, since I knew the Legion WS had been called off.) My son's HS coach has talked about trying to put a team together to play a few informal games this summer vs. other HS coaches' teams. I suppose some area college coaches could wander by, but the point would be just to play some baseball. I assume this would only happen if the relevant social distancing rules permit.
I would say that sports is going to start back up to some extent. My middle son is playing in a slow pitch softball tournament in two weeks. It is a private owned field and the guy said if teams want to come he will start to host tournaments. State does not have a provision to stop it in their rules right now.
Heard that North Dakota legion is also cancelled. No word on MN, yet. If they took a few common sense steps and the amount of contagion goes down by the end of May (which seems likely), i don't see any reason why they can't play . It all depends on where you are, IMO.
CT American Legion is still on. A tweet sent just recently:
"We have plans in place to play. All depends on when the state opens back up. "
