Indian River will take what? While not mathematically impossible right now, it is highly improbable that IR will win the regular season with 5 losses. Great Bridge has only 2 losses and may well be favored to win out. Certainly don't see them losing 3 of their last 4 games to end in a tied situation with IR who also would have to win out for that tied situation.

The score was GF 2 Hickory 0 with GF scoring once 1 in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings. Jason Ingrahm pitched a great complete game for GF, facing 22 batters, allowing 1 walk and 1 hit (and that runner was caught stealing) while striking out 8, one K each inning except 2 Ks in the 7th. He had command of his pitches and was efficient, throwing approximately 82 pitches in the game, with only 63 thrown through 6 innings. Brock Jaeger went the distance on the mound for Hickory, also pitched well, just not as sharp as Ingrahm. Jaeger walked 2 batters, hit 2 batters and allowed 6 hits. For GF, Ingrahm had 2 hits while each of Cody Cox, Nykolai Ellis, Jordan School, and Greg Milner had 1 hit. Matt Campbell had Hickory's lone hit.

All degraded (seniors GF) for winning a game. Can't anybody do anything about it? They are 14 - 3!Great game though. I was there for Hickory. Both sides did pitch a great game. Jason Ingram did a great job for GF. Still say that GF does not have the coaching staff to take the team anywhere. Indian River is your winner again this year.

Just a follow up on the GF/KF game, GF didn’t have the same intensity as they had the week before and showed on the field. 2 errors by GF’s SS caused 2 unearned runs in the 3rd. KF’s SS made some outstanding plays including a 6-4-3 with the tying run at third. GF has some concerns with the Defense and if the offense cant get going down the stretch – it doesn’t look good.

Its not the defense and offense. It's the coaching staff. I understand that after this game the next practice the coach didn't show up.

I'm sure there was a good reason for this. Coach Todd is as dedicated a coach as there is in the area.

Yeah, surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.
Disgruntled parent eh? Your posts about Coach Todd only further strengthens his reputation because you make it even more clear that only people who have no idea what they are talking about dislike him.

Indian River has no shot at taking anything regular seasonwise, and EVERY coach has to miss practice from time to time.. get over yourself

Nope. My kid doesn't even play for Grassfield and he wouldn't. I'm Hickory all the way. Grassfield does however have some good players. Ingram did a great job the other night. Anything else?

I am a friend of Coach Todd's and I can assure you it had everything to do with taking care of some personal business. (Despite your sarcasm)

Coach Todd also is dedicated to his off season program as well as summer teams, which is more than can be said for some teams in the area.
