Was more interested in the four year schools. HSU & McM must be having good seasons then. If I'm remembering properly, ACU is doing well also.
HSU & son were slow out of the gate this season. 1 win, 7 losses in conference before racking up 12 straight wins to qualify for post season. Concordia-Austin weekend series sweep in Austin jump started our 4 conference series sweeps. We had to wait for the last weekend outcome to know tourney status, for sure. I have read many posts about the roller-coaster rides during a season. Of all seasons for the pitching staff not matching the performance of the senior & junior loaded run produces cost us several critical early season wins. However, looks as though Coach has motivated the entire team & we may be on the beginning edge of peaking at the right time.
McM is pitching well & hitting consistently. I can't help to root for that group in the 1st round of tournament play since there are three local Amarillo High players on their roster.
Not sure about our Abilene Christian University program. I will have to follow-up on another post.
Lubbock Christian Univ. Chaps are getting locked in for the NAIA Tourney. I notice they had a great series vs Oklahoma City. Amarillo-Tascosa (LCU) starting catcher (close friend of son) seems to be managing the pitching staff to close game wins & Pampa, Canyon & Lubbock Estacado pitchers are holding their own. Hope they make another strong run in their tourney life.
Texas Tech. Let me say it was fun seeing our DIII HSU team compete in Lubbock in a weekday pick-up game vs DI TT on a real windy (blowing out) night. Pitching was by committee for both teams. Son came in with 2 outs, 1 on & recorded the 3rd out on a pop-up to 3rd. Went on to throw the 4th inning allowing 1 run on 2 hits before recording 3 outs. Tech has been playing & pitching great, but didn't show very well in recent games, especially vs Texas. I know Miles Morgan (Lubbock Coronado) is out with injury, but A. J. Ramos (Lubbock Estacado) has been a go-to starter & picking up the slack.

Hope you didn't have any problems with storms. Sounds like they had some tornadoes south of you.
I could make out the major wall clouds thru the lightning flashes to the northeast as I drove in from Plainview. I was real late getting back but stayed in touch with the wife as I drove. Made it to Tulia around 12:30am Sunday and made a trek around outskirts of town to view the tornado damage caused by the 8:00 pm F3 tornado. Most of the town's perimeter was blocked by emergency vehicles. It was a real mess, but news Sunday & Monday was 20 minutes of warning saved lives. Also since the storm hit before dark, many saw it coming and made cover in plenty of time. May be one of those real bad stormy seasons.
