Looks like they may still be in for a battle, reading the comments towards the end of the article.

When my older boy was playing in HS, SLC was in our district and we always had to play at their place at 4:00. Wasn't a huge deal, but the crowds were lighter. This will help with the night "vibe" and home field advantage.
Saw this and wondered why they haven't had lights in the past of course it should have occurred to me that people got in the way. I am not from southlake and not in their district either. I get so aggregated by people that make things difficult when changes and improvements need to be made. People that live in an area of schools especially high schools complain of lights and crowd noise should have thought of that when they moved to the neighborhood. Typically high school baseball has 32 games in a season and typically may have 14 home games which of those a couple are played Saturday afternoon so in order not to inconvenience a couple of people let's pull kids out of school so they can start by 4 pm. Not to mention they traveling school misses even more time. You moved into a neighborhood with a school in your backyard get over it. I am sure these same people would call the weather man and tell him to turn the thunder and lighting off if a storm blows through at the wrong time of night. Come on people!!!
