Bill "Spaceman" Lee is playing for the Nashua Pride of the Can-Am League.

Thanks for the info. We will be in the area in afew weeks and would like to see him play...does he play their regular schedule, or does he just make "guest appearances"?

Looks like I should read the local paper more often and/or more carefully. Turns out Bill Lee didn't play for the Pride - he played against them on a team known as Oil Can Boyd's Traveling All-Stars. I did a Google search and found they've played several area teams, so you may be want to check your their online schedule to see if it fits your travel plans. My apologies for the earlier misinformation. If you are going to be in Southern NH and want to catch some good baseball, you'll find the Pride in Nashua, the Fisher Cats - double A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays - in Manchester, and the Swampbats of the NECBL in Keene. Have a great trip.

Thanks again for the info-my son is actually playing in the NECBL which is why we are coming up (N. Adams Steeplecats). Husband played with Bill Lee many moons ago and we were hoping to catch up with him when we were in the area. Looking forward tto a few weeks in wonderful New England!!!

Spaceman's book "The Wrong Stuff" was re-released recently. Very easy, entertaining read for baseball fans.

Lee is one of the classic characters of the game---there are not many of them any more
