I am not a cryer, but I saw a sports movie a few years ago that had me bawling. What was the name of the one about the mentally slow kid and the small town football team?

I watched a football game on ESPN last night that nearly made me vomit. Does that count?

Didn't cry but Hardball was a very sad movie.

The last 2 weeks of the NY Mets 2007 season made me weep like a baby.

No question, 2007 Orioles Season Highlight film. It's 5 seconds long. I cry like a baby, wail, tear my clothes, and throw dust on my head.

I cried during The Natural. But I have, I hope, a more controversial question. Why do the ladies cry during all these films except at the end of Field of Dreams. Am I wrong here?

This being a baseball forum, I'm surprised no one mentioned "The Pride of the Yankees" - the story of Lou Gehrig (1943, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0035211/).

I caught it for the first time on the tube a month ago. The farewell speech Gary Cooper delivered at the end - supposedly word for word as spoken by Gehrig himself - had me blubbering.

On the team bus they showed Rudy and when Rudy finally got to play 1/2 the team was in tears. You should have heard the excuses, allegeries, contact lenses, and dust got in their eyes,

Major League back to the minors makes me cry. The part that gets me is when the ballet guy uses his ballarina technique to score a run....alligator tears every time.
