The football thing is what really gets me about this district cancelling spring sports. They allowed football and there are still hoops games being played. Spring sports for the most part are easily safer than hoops and football.
Yea, I think if they try to cancel spring sports with football and all the fall sports having their season and basketball having their season, there is going to be a mob of parents showing up at the UIL office with torches and pitchforks.
But what makes me scratch my head when hearing about school districts cancelling spring sports in states that are open like FL, TX, GA, etc. is that you know the kids are going to go play with the travel, select, club teams. So now instead of keeping the same group of kids to play and practice together and also go to school together, they will now be going out playing and practicing with kids from other areas and schools and then coming back to school. Seems like keeping the spring season intact deters that.
