Does anyone have any opinion on the school and the baseball program.

I would like any feed back on this school, conference they play in and any experiences at this school as a player, student, or interaction with coaches.
Folks anyone with direct knowledge of this school would be helpful. I can and have reviewed their web page. Looking for students or athletes that can tell me about their experiences.

My son and I were VERY INTERESTED in St Leo early on in our college search. I visited the school twice; Once by myself and once with my wife and son. As you are from Florida I assume you have visited the place. It is a beautiful campus located in a rural area of Florida within easy driving distance of Tampa, FL. The Admissions people were fantastic and the math Department [all three professors] met with my son and I to talk about how excited they were to get him.
Unfortunately, the Baseball Coach was a different story. I sent the coach a 2' 20" tape of my son with attached stats and when we went for a visit in the fall of 2006 [my son was a 2007 graduate] the coach told me that he had already picked out his middle infielders for the next four years and my son would not be considered. This was without every watching him in a game, a camp or anything else, as far as I know.

St. Leo's conference has produced the national champions for the last three years. ...Florida Southern in '05, followed by U. Tampa in '06 and '07. Good competition.
