Just thought I'd drop a line from Stanford. The weather here is great, can't believe how nice it is.

So far I've seen Natural from the board. Eric Wright, Mike Marshall and Garett Buechelle are here and are ex teammates of my son, so it's like old home week. Kaskow is on the list, but haven't run into him or his parents.

Scott Boras' son is on my son's team, so maybe he will agree to be his agent Big Grin Big Grin

BTW, son ran a 6.64 60 on the laser this morning with a sore hamstring. Fastest time of the morning session. He loves the weather here and has already threatened to move out here to play his senior year of HS. Big Grin

Got to go, the wife is dragging me off to dinner.

Nothing could be finer than watching baseball at the Sunken Diamond - 80 degrees by day, 60 at night - a beautiful campus and a fabulous ballpark. Enjoyed visiting with KellerDad & Greg Wright(son Eric from FW Country Day.) Heard Kaskow is flying in tonite. Hainsfurther from HP here also. Natural son's team plays first night game tomorrow evening at 7:45 under the lights at the Sunken Diamond. Should be fun. Everything about this camp is just like the school - first class.
KD....see what I mean about posting things about your son? I know your not promoting him (just proud) but the faithful here just cannot believe your kid runs that fast even though you said laser etc. Only Texan (your buddy) believes you.

I heard Garett and Kaskow ran a 6.2 now maybe the laser is off. Big Grin

Hope you had fun....if he's good they will find him!

Did you get Boras autograph for DBAT GM?

Let me tell you this, I gaurantee you that there ain't no kid running sub 6.0 60's in the country.

If there was, the Olympic sprint team would be calling instead of the Olympic Jr. team.

What is the World Record 60 time? I would almost bet it ain't under 6.0 flat.
Sparq Training did the timing and is supposed to have the times available online. I've looked at their site and will have to get my son to register an account with them to be able to get to his numbers online so you non believers can see them.

As far as my son not truley running a 6.64...well, he ran an almost exact replica of that time at a Mustang tryout last fall that was hand timed.

My son set about 6 records at his Middle school for track and field that still stand today. He gave up running track because he was continually getting shin splints from overwork. The first year he played for Lynn he was hobbled until nearly July with them and swore off running track then.

Texan isn't my buddy, never met him. He was at the Mustang tryout my son attended last fall and watched him run the 60 then.

You know the number I'm more proud of than his 60 time? That's his SAT scores. The scores that will enable him to attend 99% of the colleges in the USA.

Buechelle and Marshall are both great kids and ballplayers and also happen to be very close friends of my son's. I won't comment on eithers 60 times, but I will say that neither of them will play center field any time soon. Big Grin
This whole discussion is ridiculous. I am here at the Stanford camp and can tell you they ran on turf with lasers at 30 and 60 yards for the SPARQ measurements. If KD says his kid ran 6.64 I believe him and so should everyone else. The complete results will be online soon enough. Why knock a kid or his dad for being proud of a darn good time?

Congrats are in order!
