Some time back I read that some organizations were using a novel method for teaching their untutored beginner "T Ball youngsters how to hit the ball. I think it was to have the players walk into the batter's box simply take a whack at the ball as they moved into it.
At the time I thought that would be better way for their bodies to find a "stroke" for themselves, and maybe that worked better than the conventional method of teeing up the ball, and taking aim with the arms and hands.
Has anyone followed the success of that method?
