Things looking up for Cubs today...possible rainout.

On another note, while listening to Mac, Jurko and Harry yesterday, Harry/Cubs fan, was beating up the Cubs management because apparently they now sponsor pinch hitters i.e. "the Company X pinch hitter is...." Is this true, and do the Sox do this at The Cell too?? Just doesn't seem right. Probably do this for relief pitchers too. Oh and can we forget the start time for Sox night games of 7:11 (sponsored by 7-11).
Blazer,

Yep, the Cubs have had a pretty nasty run. And yes The Brew Crew has been a slightly more mediocre team the last 2 years, but their last 25 years have been pretty rough.....more so than the Cubs and that is nothing to write home about. Make it the last 3 years and The Cubs haev the better record, still nothing to write home about. As you should know by now, being in first place in April means little. But if you feel like you can look down on The Cubs, go for it. Personally I like the Brewers. and Sox fans at least had their once in a lifetime WS Championship a couple years ago, so at least they have something to crow about.

As for the rest of you guys, you can whine when the Cubs go to and maybe win The WS after having fewer wins than the sox in the regular season.
New manager but it will be the same old story........Cubs still blow!

Why is it any time the Cubs bring in a supposedly good manager or player, they turn to ****?

Must be the the vines that were planted by Bill Veck.

Visionaries are often maligned in their own time. How many of you, even the most dark white sox fans even dreamed the sox would win the WS a couple years ago?

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know, just about all of you, even though most weren't sox fans until they had just about won it.

If anyone thinks that anything that has happened so far in MLB this season has anything to do with who wins in the end, well just give me a call and I'll help you with your investments.

It isn't fair, but The Cubs (80-85 wins) have a better chance than the sox (80-90 wins) to get in the playoffs. Sad, but true.
