Texas Roadhouse coming soon. If you are coming to Stillwater watch out for the extra construction and repair work going on after all the rain we have had.

I went to a Past Time tournament that was played here a couple of weeks ago and could smell the remnants of the flooding that had occured in the immediate are.

Ticket prices are very reasonable, 5.00 for a day pass. There was some good talent on display also. I saw a couple of good pitching prospects and a nice D1 caliber 3rd baseman.

For those that will be coming, have a safe trip here and back home and enjoy the tournament. Allie P Reynolds is a nice facility so enjoy it while it is still around. We will have a brand new ball park in a few years as the athletic village complex is completed.
We had a good time there. We had one umpire problem, a home run right down the 1st base line was called a foul by the field umpire (who was over by second base) because the home plate umpire "lost the ball in the sun". It was frustrating, cost us a win, but that is baseball. The team we played (not OK 18U) nearly apologized during the end of game hand slaps. Other than that, the games were played with good sportmanship, good competition and generally fair/accurate ump-ing.

OBrady--are you connected to the Sliders from the Dallas area? If so, how is the boy who got hurt?
We too had a good time, but had a hard time competing win-wise with only 10 boys left on our roster.
Played at OSU under the lights at night which was a kick for our boys.
We too had a few umpiring flaws ( had an ump at the plate make a strike call,... then turned to the crowd and said " just teasin".) Never seen that happen before. (????)

Had a few problems with our hotel,..( including a fire!) but did find some yummy eats ( even sushi!) and lots of fun OSU souvenier goodies! I recommend the GOBANANAS smoothie shop. They can make a hot day much cooler!

Its always fun to play teams from around the US. The boys had fun hanging out with other players from different states back at the hotel. Ping pong tournaments, jacuzzi lounging, and pool championships!....overall fun time!

BIIIG THANKS to the Thomas Ford dealership in Stillwater!!!!!!
Shortstawpmomma's car decided to start rumbling and hissing in the middle of town and those guys took us right in ( no appointment ) and fixed everything within an hour or so! Kind people, great service, and genuine caring. Man,....those kind of people make this world a great place!! THANKS GUYS!!!!

Didnt hear about a player getting hurt,.... Frown
I hope he's ok!

We played the OK 18U team,.....wow,..those boys are big and they can HIT!!!!! Good pitching too!!!

Good to see you all had fun, unfortunately we never left the field in time to get to Eskimo Joe's or any normal establishments though. We are working on some Prospect Camps for the Southwest as we speak. The dates for the 2008 OSU events are already posted and we have already received numerous registrations!

I must say, if it rains the way it did during the 16U event this year during the 2008 events - I will need someone to bring some gloves because we "squeegied" water off the field from 5am - 12noon on one day and "squeegied" at least once a day I think.

Lastly, OSU is only allowing 3 tournaments on the field next year! Lucky for us, all 3 dates are already secured for a 14, 16, and 18U event. That's right, they are letting us put 14's on the field which is crazy but they've signed quite a few 18's from our tournaments.

Lastly, again, someone said there was an umpire that turned to the fans and said "just kidding"???? What field were you at and if you remember which day I'd really like to know. We obviously don't get the opportunity to field our own umpires but I have a list of who was where from the crew in Stillwater. Also, the umpire that "missed" the call for the home run came and tried to forfeit his pay for that game because he was upset with what happened. He was very torn up about it. Can't get them all right I guess.

Look forward to having you all back next year! We really enjoy the parents and the feedback.
We will likely take 30 teams across the country once again for the 18U division at OSU next summer. There are 20-25 invite only positions with those invitations already being sent to some of the top teams in the country that send most or all of their players D1 or straight to pro ball. We want these teams to fill a vast majority of our tournament positions to increase the number of scouts in attendance for those teams filling the OPEN positions in the event. We can take up to 50 teams at this event!

Having said that, ALL games will not be at Allie P. as that would allow just 10 teams or so to attend the tournament. This is a "National Championship" event because we will have teams representing 8-15 states, which is more than several "larger" national championship hosts. The format includes pool play, a championship & consolation bracket, that will allow the 4 teams reaching each championship game to play up to 7/8 games.

Hope that helps WillieKC.

Those dates aren't released yet, and the showcase can not be at Allie P. per NCAA regulations. We are finalizing a location in that area! Keep checking, hopefully we can get the location finalized for you shortly.
