I searched the site and can't seem to find an answer and I'm certain we aren't the only family who deals with cleats that can stink up the whole house.

The problem doesn't so much seem to be sweat as just that they smell very badly when they get wet and then get shoved into the baseball locker, etc.

I have heard that newspaper shoved into the toes helps to dry them out but it doesn't seem to help with the odor. When we can, we get them home and spray them with Lysol and set in front of a fan all night.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Travel season is coming and we really don't want to buy them their own hotel room

From the Kick The Stink website...
Get rid of horrible shoe odor with easy to use Kick the Stink! Odor Eating Shoe Balls. Just drop one ball into each shoe and they'll do the rest. Balls are filled with odor and moisture absorbing charcoal and leave your shoes with a refreshing scent. Also works great in your gym bag, locker or closet.

I think I'll stuff one in each of my rear pockets...that should help!
