This past week I had basketball camp all week at my HS and some junior league games. My last day of camp was friday and on my ride back home my sister called me and told me I had a phone call from a baseball coach and to call him back ASAP. When I got home we contact thee coach and he asked me to play in a tournament this weekend in Knoxville and he had found me on a website. I couldn't recall for a second but then it hit me. Before my HS SEASON HAD EVEN STARTED I left a message on a message board on the USSSA TN website saying that if a player was ever needed I would gladly play on the team. The Johnson City Dillas(AA) asked me to play on there team for this tournament because they were players short and needed me. After I went out and got the gear to wear, I began thinking about playing time, players, etc.
Whenever we arrived this morning at the field after the 2 1/2 hour car ride I began looking for my team. I found them and was greeted by every player and coach. i got my jersey, warmed up, and went out onto the field. I didnt start the first game, but after a missed ball from the CF in the first inning, I came in in the 2nd. I did GREAT! I then went on the start 2 more game and coming in after the first inning in the other. I hit 4 for 7 with all singles and 3 K's but this was a great experience. I was then asked to join the team for a few more games and tournaments.
