Fix the lower body first. Externally press the foot, driving the knee in. Then, pull back with the lower back and move forward. Keep the weight on the back leg until you decide to swing. It must be on the INSIDE part of the back foot.
Pull the barrel rearward with the top hand, and the top hand only. Bottom hand will do what it has to.
I use walk-up drills to get the sequence "Coil-Stretch-Separate" ingrained, and I use the Stretch and Fire Drill to teach the loading in the unload. However, I'm my only student, so my information is what you make of it!
