During our last game, we were attempting to get other players in the game. We were winning badly. We had already subbed in for our starter in RF. So in the 6th we attempted to put in another player (who has not played in this game). The head umpire told us that we could not sub for a sub but we could only bring in the starter that the original sub went in for. The field ump backed up the head ump and repeated that you can not sub for a sub. I check the NCHSAA rule book and found nothing that would prevent putting in a player for a sub. I know you cant put a sub that was already in the game and then remove, back in the game. So should I have these umpires drug tested or is this illegal subsitution.
