Substitution Question?

This is perfectly legal. If the DH goes in defensively, the pitcher must bat in the place of the ejected catcher. See OBR Rule 6.10(b).

Just for fun can someone tell me the difference in FED or NCAA compared to OBR?

Off the top of my head the only difference is Fed, the pitcher has to go also.

No, but here are the big differences.

1. In FED and only FED, the DH can hit for any position player, not just the pitcher.

2. NCAA allows the pitcher to DH for himself (DH is the pitcher) or the pitcher and the DH can be two players.

There you have it. BTW: The NCAA DH rule spans 4 pages.

Even with the quirky NCAA DH rule, it becomes the same as OBR when the DH goes to a defensive position. As in my other post, pitching is not considered a defensive position in college.
