Please keep these two young teens, their families and the community in your prayers.
Brendon was a local baseball player that my son and many of his teammates knew.
Although it doesn't list the school,
Brendon had recently committed to play ball with a school.

This tragic and sudden loss has affected the community deeply.
They both will be missed.

On Friday night my wife and I went to Hagerstown to dedicate the new lights at Halfway Little league in Halfway Maryland. This was the field named after our late son, Nick Adenhart. I woke Sunday morning to a text that Brendon and Samantha had died in a car accident. I was heart sick. Brendon was the same grade as my younger son Henry. When we lived in Hagerstown our back yards shared a common fence. He played at Halfway little league and Williamsport High school. Both alma maters of my boys Nick and Henry. Many days I sat on my back porch and watched Henry and Nick have a catch and looked over the fence and watched Brendon and his grandfather have a catch. I spent many evenings talking over that fence with Brendon's grandfather about throwing and pitching. We moved and I didn't get to see Brendon's progression but Nick's high school catcher was Brendon's High school coach, so I was able to follow his progression.

This baseball community has been struck again by a tragic and devastating loss. Please send your thoughts and prayers to the families of these beautiful young people whose loss has left a large hole in the hearts of this community.
