In the past I have played on a summer team that went to tournaments, and I was planning on playing on their showcase team this summer as a junior, but that opportunity is no longer available to me. As an alternative I am playing on an uncompetitive local 18 under summer team coached by my schools coach (by uncompetitive I mean they are in a local league and do not go to tournaments/showcases). If I contact local D3 coaches, send them a video and a schedule would this be sufficient to garner interest.
Any other advice on ways to gain interest would be valued.

Thank you in advance for any help

IMHO and having just gone through the recruiting process with my own son in the NY area, I think it is important to be on a top quality travel team. There are still opportunities for you especially if you are a pitcher. Many of the teams need to fill up holes. Some kids have been injured during the HS season (my son's summer team lost 2 pitchers to injury) and some kids get benched by summer school or overcommitment. PM me and I can give you some ideas and I'm sure TR can chime in too. What kind of player are you?
