Hey Y'all, Let me first say how great I think this site is, I am a football player who also loves baseball and basketball. I look at what you guys have to say and I have always been timid to come on, but my buddies convinced me to. I was born and raised in the midwest, so its great to be able to track my old High School and just midwest baseball in general. I will join in on some of the more fun topics, but I cant come anywhere close to some of the knowledge you guys have. My buddy may kill me for this one, but I am trying to help him find a place to play ball this summer, he is coming back to the midwest with me for the summer. Without getting to specific, he is a middle inf that has been talking to scouts allready, he is a redshirt sophmore, and is pretty good, of course I am biased but I think i have seen him enough to know. If you guys can reccomend any leagues or maybe even some contact info that would be great. I have been working out with him a lot, maybe I could give this baseball thing a try! Thanks for your help

In Illinois, there are a lot of good teams. I have a biast of course...have your friend contact me at dwoinen@yahoo.com, and visit our site www.melroseindians.com. Some other teams you could look into that are also very competitive are the Lombard Orioles, Arlington Orioles, Wheaton White Sox, Hi-Tech Scanners. As far as other places in the midwest, i think there is the Ohio League that feautures d1 players from all over. One our pitchers played there for a little last summer and his team was loaded with guys from both cali and fla. Please feel free to contact me and I will try to help out as much as possible

Thanks for replying so fast, that information you provided was very helpful, we have been surfing the web all morning. We cant get over how many summer teams have pages. When we visited some of the web pages, we stumbled across this thing called College Baseball Online,www.collegebaseballonline.com
its really neat and has a lot of cool topics, geared towards college players and fans, you guys should check it out. I tried telling my buddy summer ball in the midwest was legit, but he didnt want to listen! Thanks again and please if you have any more information or suggestions please post here!
