Is it me or are some of the college summer leagues not as strong as they use to be. Clark Griffith, The Valley League especially. I look at some of the weekly players and see the stats they have in these leagues are sometimes 75 percent better than the college team they are on. I looked at a few pitchers today and the ERA'S per game are more than 6 or 7 runs better than college. Are these leagues doing the players any good or giving them false hope when they return to the college leagues?
