I know the Stanford camp is great, but what are some other good camps closer to my area? I am looking for college camps or other camps that lots of schools come to. Thanks for your help.
"Practice."-Tiger Woods when asked what he would do after failing to make the cut at the U.S. Open. "When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stone-cutter hammering away at his rock perhaps 100 times without as much as a crack showing. Yet at the 101st blow, it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before." mtownfan

The Stanford camp is a showcase camp and so is Best in Virginia. They get instruction but they also have a showcase component to them.BIV is very intense and you have to be in top shape. This past year the temp was over 100 degrees and they run from station to stationn. Fortunately.my son was ready for it but his roomate and several kids had to go to the hospital.stanford and BIV only take rising juniors and seniors into the camp.
I have to tell you that Clemson puts on a great camp. Tim Corbin who was the assistant head coach at Clemson and is now the head man at Vanderbilt helped to organize that camp and has since built quite a program at Vandy. My son has been to their summer camp and it is intense and worthwhile. Coach Corbin is a top notch coach and an all round good guy. The players enjoy the experience because the coaches are a big part of it. They get quite a bit of individual attention because they work the entire time with the kids. Its a good place to get seen and a great place to learn a thing or two.
