Jaxx,

Here is the website for the California Collegiate league. I would check with your college coach about getting you on one of these teams. The Forresters generally only take higher level players so you will probably have a tough time getting on this team.

Playing time is also a consideration. Getting on a team is one thing, but playing enough to improve is something else. You might be better playing on a competitive Connie Mack team so you can get in your work.
First off I don’t know all that much about the summer collegiate teams, there are lots of posters here who’s sons have played for one. Look in the post HS forum for more information. My son played one game for a team in the early season a year ago because all of their pitchers had not reported yet and they were short of pitching. He pitched a couple of innings for a team. As I understand it there is very little practice. I do know that college coaches work on putting their kids on the appropriate team for them - one that fits their ability, their position, and playing time. I also had a friend whose son played for a summer college team the summer after he graduated HS. So I know it is done, but just getting on a roster does not mean you are going to play a lot. My son is a Sr and we have also talked about putting him on a summer collegiate team, but are leaning toward a Connie Mack team for a bunch of reasons.
